Holsman's measure to remove the provision from the bill was ultimately shut down.

Senator Scott Holsman said forcing unaccredited districts to pay for private educations would bleed their resources, which could mean an even worse education for students who can't get into private schools.

Holsman's measure to remove the provision from the bill was defeated and the Senate took no immediate action on the bill.
