State Capitol Bureau

Intro:
No one responsible for protecting Governor Jay Nixon says security at the state Capitol will increase after Tuesday's stabbing. Scott Kanowsky has more from Jefferson City.

Wrap: Neither the Capitol Police, Department of Public Safety, nor the Missouri Highway Patrol would comment.

Officials from these organizations said they worried any additional information would hamper security around the Governor.

The Missouri Highway Patrol heads Nixon's security detail.

An attacker stabbed a college dean at an event in Kansas City that Nixon attended.

From the state Capitol, I'm Scott Kanowsky, NewsRadio 1120 KMOX.
