Intro:  The House shot down an amendment to legalize real pot in a bill that bans the fake stuff. Theo Keith has more from Jefferson City.

Liberty Republican Representative Tim Flook says some people who get a prescription for marijuana in states where it's legal aren't really sick.

Democratic supporters say legalizing medical marijuana would get a lot of non-violent offenders out of crowded jails.

The House did not take final action on the fake pot bill.
