Description: "If a politician is found guilty of a crime, they shouldn't keep their pension."

Description: "If you lose office because of something you did that is illegal in office, you will lose your pension as well. That was affirmed by a Constitutional amendment that the Missouri voters passed I believe two years ago."

The Supreme Court ruled former Illinois Governor George Ryan, Sr. to forfeit his full pension Wednesday.
