Description: "The response was overwhelming there were more than double the amount of kids who showed up to check out bikes than bikes available and, so to us, it speaks loudly and let's us know we we're on the right direction."

Miller says the most important part of the program is teaching students to make healthy lifestyle choices.

Students voted in 2009 to add 20 dollars to their annual student fees to improve sustainable projects on their campus.

Description: "My hope would be that, what we are trying to do, more than anything else is to encourage the development of lifelong habits."

Miller says Drury aims to make strides in reducing their carbon footprint while teaching students to make healthy choices.

The installment of the new bicycle programs comes after a student-based project in 2009 which allocated 20 dollars per student per year to a bicycle program.

The program allows students to rent out bikes for a semester at no cost.
