Home Care Union Advocates Seek Support

Intro:  Former State Senator Chuck Graham of Columbia led a group of home healthcare recipients against a lawsuit by Integrity Home Care challenging Proposition B.

Wrap: The lawsuit aims to prevent unionization of Missouri Home Care workers.

Owner of Integrity Home Care Phil Melugin says the union is unfair because it was created by a few and not the majority. 

But Graham says without improvements in working conditions and benefits, home care workers often have to take second jobs which diminishes the care they provide.

Wrap: Integrity Home Care President Phil Melugin says that there was deception during the entire election of the Missouri Home Care Union leading to a small minority of eligible voters voting.

Union advocate, former Democratic State Senator Chuck Graham, argues on the other hand that proposition passed with a wide margain and represents the needs of many.

Melugin filed the lawsuit in July hoping that there can be be a revised attempt for another election.
