Description: And you have a chance to do what you've done in the house, which is to advance solutions that people from both parties can vote for instead of what happened last week where the speaker of the house said famously, "We won the election, we'll write the bill."

What initially was U.S. Congressman Roy Blunt's announcement of his bid for the Missouri U.S. Senate seat became a platform for Blunt to criticize the 878 billion dollar federal stimulus package.

Actuality:  BLUNT4.WAV
Run Time: 00:14
Description: And I think part of the strategy of the last few months has been to make this crisis appear to be so big that any solution is better than no solution and then you try to take full advantage of that moment to get everything done that you couldn't get done in the last decade.

Blunt said his success as a candidate will depend on the success of the economy and the Obama administration but that he is sure the federal bailout package will not work.
