A bill would require diesel fuel terminals in Missouri to include bio-diesel and bio-diesel-blended fuel beginning January 1, 2010.

But a couple Republican critics said that the bill would divert from food to energy production.

Kansas City area Repulican Senator Matt Bartle says that this bill will take the food prices that are already high even higher.

Description: "Missouri tax payers will be paying for this every single meal that they eat..."

Sponsor of the bill Senator Bill Stouffer says this bill will create new in-state jobs in bio-diesel manufacturing.

But continued debate stalled a Tuesday vote on the proposal.
