Palin appeared as the everyday American, with jeans and a red blazer and toe tapping to Hank Williams Jr.'s music.
When the topic turned to issues, Palin focused on her and McCain's energy plan.

|Description: John and I will set this country further on a path of energy independence. We're going to develop new energy sources and we'll tap into what we've got: the billions of barrels of oil, the hundreds of trillions of cubic feet of natural gas and our coal deposits. There is more coal in this free country than there is oil in Saudi Arabia. (applause).|
Palin also promised to balance the federal budget by the end of the presidential term.
She also stressed Obama's plan of bigger government and higher taxes.
Palin ended her speech with a rally to the Missouri voters and people.

|Description: We believe too that the best of America isn't all gathered in Washington D.C. We know that it is here in the kindness and the goodness and the courage of everyday, hard-working Americans. Those of you that run our factories, and grow our food, and teach our children and fight our wars. This is where the best of America is.|
With tomorrow being the big day, Palin made sure to remind Missourians to vote and the importance of the state in the election's results.
