Description: Well, just, I mean in general I think the people of Missouri need to know they're going to elect an attorney general with integrity and honesty, and that's one reason I think these commercials really show who the best attorney general candidate is.
Koster's campaign acknowledges the accusations but say they are a gross distortion of the truth.

An ad by Attorney General Candidate Mike Gibbons accuses Attorney General Candidate Chris Koster of fraudulent checks, tax liens, and monetary ties to the mafia.

Koster spokesperson Danny Kanner says Gibbons does not have the integrity nor commitment to truth that an Attorney General needs.

Actuality:  KANNER2.WAV
Run Time: 00:18
Description: So you take all these things, and you have a candidate for attorney general, making gross distortions of the facts, in some case outright lies, and  it is beneath the office he seeks, it is beneath the office both of these candidates seek.

Gibbons campaign agrees that Missourians need an Attorney General with integrity and honesty.

They say those were two motivating factors behind their latest ads.
