House Passes Both of Blunt's Bills

Date: August 30, 2007
By: Micah Wiener
State Capitol Bureau

Intro: Missouri's 2007 special session is over, and Republicans are happy with the results.

Micah Wiener tells us why the Democrats aren't:

Although both bills under consideration during the session passed easily, Democrats say neither measure needed to be passed imminently.

Columbia Representative Jeff Harris is giving up his post as Minority Leader to run for Attorney General.

He says if the legislation was so pressing the Republicans should have passed it during the regular session.
