The task force is the brain-child of the president of an anti-abortion group John McCastle. The governor's office hosts monthly meetings with the task force to discuss progress.

But the executive director of NARAL Pro Choice-Missouri Pamela Sumners says the task force is not using scientific information to draw conclusions.

Actuality:  SUM1.WAV
Run Time: 00:19
Description: "There is a lot of pure reviewed material out there...credible scientific studies about the actual effects of abortion on women, that were prepared by objective scientists, and not by a bunch of political hack with an ideological axe to grind."

Taxpayer dollars are not financing the task force.
