Representative Jack Johnson says recount won't change results

Date: September 13, 2006
By: Rachel Bunning
State Capitol Bureau

Intro: St. Louis Representative Jack Jackson is still awaiting the results of the auditor's race recount, however he tells KMOX he doesn't think much will change.  Rachel Bunning has more from the state Capitol.

Representative Jackson doesn't forsee change in auditor election results after the Secretary of State's recount. The Republican auditor's primary in August yielded results too close for comfort for Representative Jackson.

Even though Jackson says he believes the results will remain the same, he was grateful for the recount opportunity.

Actuality:  JACKSON.WAV
Run Time: 00:16
Description: Representative Jackson thanks the Secretary of State's office for the recount effort.

The recount results will put the winner on the November ballot.

From the Capitol, I'm Rachel Bunning.
