Students closer to governing board voting power

Students serving on the governing boards for Missouri colleges are one step closer to having a vote. Tim Carnahan has more from the state Capitol.

The Senate Education Committee voted to allow a student representative of the board of curators to have a vote on any matter coming before the board.

University of Missouri-Kansas City senior Charles Stadtlander of the Associated Students of the University of Missouri says students pay tuition, which means students deserve a vote.
