Senate Republicans came under emotional and blistering attacks Thursday as they pushed through their Medicaid cuts.
Victor Roberto has more from the state Capitol.
Some of the strongest criticism came from St. Louis city Sen. Maida Coleman.
She's the leader of the Senate Democratic caucus and she raised a Christian argument against the Republican welfare-cut plan.
Republican arguments on the other side were just as emotional.
They've now got a week to cool off...as legislators take their spring break.
In the meantime, the bill to cut the Medicaid health program goes to the House.

Missouri's Senate took a second vote on its plan to cut the Medicaid program and force the state to restructure the program.
Victor Roberto has more from the state Capitol.
It was the same issue upon which the Senate gave its second, formal vote of approval to the Medicaid cuts.
But the debate was a lot more passionate this time.
Kirkwood Republican Mike Gibbons, the Senate President Pro Tem, says the current system just doesn't work.
But on the other side, the Senate's Democratic leader questioned the Christian values of the Republicans who support cutting health insurance to those on welfare.
The debate now moves to the Missouri House.
