Secretary of State Annonuces Multi-State Task Force to Clean up Elections

Missouri's Secretary of State forms a task force to remove deceased voters still registered on voter lists. Kristen Commander has more from Jeffferson City.

Secretary of State Robin Carnahan says the task force aims to provide a better election system by removing voters who have died or moved. The Department of Justice sued Carnahan to start this removal program. Carnahan is joined by officials from Iowa, Kansas, and Nebraska to form the task force.

"We're the first group of states that have come together to do this and I'm pleased about that and I hope we can move ahead and understand for all of us. And it's about running the best elections we can and making sure that people have confidence now their being run fairly and that's what this is all about."

Carnahan says the task force is meeting for the frist time this week and is expected to have a plan by March.
