The Kerry campaign announced a new plan to combat methamphetamine

The John Kerry campaign announced a new plan to fight methamphetamine, citing Missouri as a problem state. Dustin Blanchard has the story from the State Capitol.

Citing Missouri's national lead in the number of meth labs uncovered, the Kerry campaign unveiled a new plan to fight the drug.

Kerry spokesperson Michael Golden says that the number of labs uncovered in Missouri has risen during the Bush presidency.

Golden says that Kerry will commit 27 million more dollars a year nationally to fighting meth, some of which will end up in Missouri.

Bush campaign spokesperson Brian Jones says that Kerry has little credibility on the subject.

Jones says Kerry has voted against increased penalties for drug manufacturing, posession and use.
