Hospital Survey Highlights Flu Shortage

A new survey confirms a flu vaccine shortage in Missouri hospitals. Bente Birkeland has more from Jefferson City.

The Missouri Hospital Association sent questionaires to 140 hospitals to find out the number of flu vaccines they received.

Becky Miller, a vice president at the Missouri Hospital Association, says preliminary survey results are back.

Contents: The hospitals did not, in general, receive the amount of vaccines they had anticipated.

If Missouri does get more flu vaccines, Miller says the survey will help ensure those vaccines reach the neediest hospitals.
