St. Charles Business Leaders lobby for more transportation dollars

St. Charles area business leaders lobbyed for transportation improvements with senate leadership today. Matt Johnson tells how lawmakers and business leaders are working together at the capitol.

Republican senator Jon Dolan spoke with St. Charles leaders Tuesday. He says the legislature is working to make positive changes in trasportation.

"If you stop the building of highway forty to interstate standard and Interstate number sixty-four, you stop my agenda and a whole bunch of people in St. Charles county from having safe and reliable transportation.

As chair of the senate Transportation committee, Dolon says the improvements need to go further. He says the entire transportation system needs reform.

More than thirty area economic leaders attended the meeting. They say they are satisfied with the proactive legislative agenda.
