McCaskill announcing intentions Monday

Claire McCaskill will officially announce her intentions to run for the democratic gubernatorial nomination Monday.

Zack Ottenstein has more from the state Capitol.

After months of speculation, Claire McCaskill is expected to announce she will run against Gov. Bob Holden for the democratic gubernatorial nomination.

McCaskill's Interim Campaign Director Glen Campbell:

McCaskill will make a cross-state trip beginning with an announcement in Kansas City and ending the day with the announcement in St. Louis.

Gov. Bob Holden will attend two public events in St. Louis.

He will not hold a press conference to respond directly to McCaskill.

What will Gov. Bob Holden be doing on Monday when Claire McCaskill makes her announcement about whether she will run for governor?

Zack Ottenstein has more from the state Capitol.

While Claire McCaskill holds press conferences across the state announcing her intention to run for governor, Gov. Holden will attend several public events in St. Louis on Monday.

Holden's campaign director Caleb Weaver says the Governor will not respond directly to McCaskill's announcement.

However, Weaver says Holden will answer questions about McCaskill.
