Some Missouri lawmakers say they want to criminalize sex between an inmate and an employee of the Department of Corrections.

The bill also criminalizes sex between parole officers and parolees.

Quincy Troupe of St Louis is sponsoring the proposal.

He says there's no justification for allowing guards to have sexual relations with inmates.

No one spoke in opposition to the bill at a recent public hearing.
