Description: Prohibit fire protection and ambulance districts requiring non-paid staff from living within the district. Prohibit a police agency from imposing a residency requirement for unpaid employees, except for living within the state. Limit payment for meeting-attendance for an ambulance or fire district board member to no more than one meeting per day and require the member actually have attended the meeting. The committee defeated the bill, effectively tabling the bill in the House.
