Description: Expand to all companies a provision giving the Revenue Department the burden of proof in a tax liability dispute. Current law limits the burden of proof to smaller companies. Legislative staff estimate the cost to state government of more than $100,000. In his veto letter, the governor wrote this was one of several bills providing special interest tax breaks that would cost state and local government $776 million per year. The governor did not provide a cost estimate for this bill in his veto letter.
