    Description: Abrogate (reverse) portions of a 2016 state Supreme Court decision that held that IBM's sale of computers to a credit card company did not constitute manufacturing costs that are exempt from the sales tax. The bill essentially would expand the definition of manufacturing to include production and transmission of telecommunicationm data. Missouri law exempts the costs of purchasing equipment for manufacturing from the sales tax. The court decision held data processing is not manufacturing.

    Description: Expand a requirement for a newly elected water district board member to complete six hours of training to impose the requirement every time a board member is elected -- in order to get attendance fees and other compensation. The bill was not assigned to committee until May 7 when there was less than one week left in the legislative session.
