* SCS SB 37 Sponsor:Silvey, Ryan Status: S Perfection Description: Establish two types of driving licenses, one that complies the federal REAL ID requirements and the other which collects less inormation about the driver. Let the applicant choose which type of license to obtain.

* SB 38 Sponsor:Silvey, Ryan Status: S Transport., Infrastructure & Safety Description: Establish a mechanism for the Transportation Department to phase out responsibility of rural roads previously transferred to the department.
Requires the department at the start of 2018 to transfer, at no cost, to the counties roads that are not part of the primary state highway system.

SB 39 Sponsor:Silvey, Ryan Status: S Economic Development Description: Impose a cap on the maximum amount of tax credits that can be authorized. Initially set it to $575 million with a three percent reduction for the next five fiscal years.

SB 324 Sponsor:Silvey, Ryan Status: S Transport., Infrastructure & Safety Description: Expand the law requiring children to wear life vests on a boat. Raise the maximum age from seven to 12 years of age and expand from boats to include wading or swimming in public waters, unless supervised by a lifeguard.

* HCS SB 478 Sponsor:Silvey, Ryan Status: Back to S Description: Require a school to notify parents when there has been an electronic data break of information about the parents' child. The House a couple of unrelated provisions dealing with statte funding for private virtual schools, require the Education Department to establish a program for science and technology.

SB 491 Sponsor:Silvey, Ryan Status: S Education Description: Require the Education Department to adopt a policy that lets a public school students get one sicence unit credit for a computer science course.

* SB 506 Sponsor:Silvey, Ryan Status: S Government Reform Description: Create a chief operating officer for the state, nominated by the governor but subject to Senate confirmation. Provide that the COO advise both the governor and the legislature on operation of executive departments. Various other government efficiency measures. Shortly after taking office in 2017, Missouri's governor named a COO. Also consolidate state government digital data support.
See: Official legislative description and status* SJR 7 Sponsor:Silvey, Ryan Status: S Rules Description: Extend legislative terms limits from eight to 16 years in any one chamber, but retain the 16-year limit for total service in the General Assembly. Currently, a person is limited to eight years in each chamber. Also reduce the size of the House from 163 to 140 members and increase the size of the Senate from 34 to 40 members. Have three House members run at large in each Senate district.
