Missouri House & Senate Schedule for Live Audio

Below are the normal meeting times for Missouri's General Assembly. The regular session of the legislature is held from early January (Jan. 3 in 2007) until mid-May (May 18 in 2007). Legislative sessions normally are held on Monday afternoons and the mornings of Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Depending on holidays and the legislative workload, lawmakers may meet at on other days.

In case you are interested, the state Constitution sets the starting date for a regular session of the legislature as at noon on the first Wednesday after the first Monday in January. The last day lawmakers can act on bills is at 6pm on the first Friday after the second Monday in May.

In the year 2007, the legislative session will begin January 3 and conclude May 18.

Note: On Tuesdays and Wednesdays, afternoon sessions will depend on the legislative schedule. Early in the session, there rarely will be afternoon sessions on those days. During the closing weeks of a legislative session, an afternoon session may begin much earlier than the times listed above.
