Wrap: The smoking ban was defeated without any Republicans voting for it. The Democratic motion would have banned smoking in all House member's offices. Something St. Louis Democratic Minority Leader Jacob Hummel says should have happened a long time ago.

Actuality:  HUMSMOK2.WAV
Run Time:  00:12
Description: "How can we continue to allow smoking in our offices? It's not right. We're exposing people to carcinogens. Everyone knows it. It's time to put an end to it."

Smoking is already banned in the House and Senate chambers and the Capitol's hallways. Under the rules the House passed, each caucus will decide if smoking is allowed in offices or not.
