Wrap: Governor Jay Nixon canceled next weeks Medicaid discussion after chairmen Senator Gary Romine and Representative Jay Barnes demanded the meeting be moved to the Capitol buidling....just two blocks down the road from the Nixon's original proposed spot.

In a letter to the chairman Tuesday, Nixon claimed the change of venue would change the talks into a political game, but Romine disagrees.

Description: "I'm disappointed and frustrated that our letter was taken out of context"

Romine claims he and Barnes wanted to move the meeting to the Capitol because they knew the meeting would have to be open to the public.

Romine says he is waiting for the dust to settle over the hype of Nixon's letter before he tries to contact and negotiate with him.

Wrap: Medicaid Transformation Committee Chair Senator Gary Romine says he is surprised and disappointed Governor Nixon canceled next week's Medicaid meeting.

In a letter to chairs Romine and Representative Jay Barnes, Nixon claimed moving next week's meeting to the Capitol building would transform the meeting into a political game.

Romine says Nixon took their request out of context.

Description: "our intention was truly just a matter of an organized effort to have the best meeting forth."

Romine says he knew they would have to make the meeting open to the public, and moving to the Capitol building would allow for that.
