Missouri health organizations are working to fight obesity in response to new findings that more than half of Missourians will soon be obese.

The study, conducted by the Trust for America's Health, reviewed CDC records of the body mass index of 400 thousand Americans from 1999 to 2010 to map the projectory of growth in each state.

Missouri Foundation of Health Program Officer, Amy Stringer Hessel says long term changes are key to solving Missouri's obesity problem.
