Description: "Newt understands that Missouri, or should I say that the Republicans really don't have a plan to win the majority unless they can actually win Missouri."

Tyler says Gingrich will help raise the money to fill the gap between Akin's and McCaskill's campaign funds.

Tyler worked as Press Secretary for Gingrich for 13 years.

As the deadline to drop out of the Senate race quickly approaches, Todd Akin continues to push forward with his campaign.
RunTime:  0:34

Wrap: That  deadline is Tuesday, September 25.

Candidates who drop out are then responsible for covering the costs of ballots sent out on September 22 overseas and to the military.

The Secretary of State's Communication Director Stacie Temple says the costs would be substantial.

Run Time:  00:07
Description: "It's very difficult to determine exactly what those costs would be because it just depends on exactly where each local election authority is in their printing process."
