Missouri General appointed as chairman of the National Guard Association of the United States

For the second time in history, a Missouri Adjutant General has been appointed chairman of the National Guard Association of the United States.

Wrap: Newly appointed chairman and former Missouri state Senator Stephen Danner says he is setting goals to protect the families of National Guardsmen.

Danner says that one of his main concerns is protecting the families of militia members when they are forced to leave the civilian life behind.

Danner says he wants to ensure that the families of Guardsmen recieve the benefits they deserve. These include pay benefits, tri-care health benefits and dental benefits.
