That was Mike O'Connell of Missouri's Emergency Management Agency.

He says if the president declares a disaster in Missouri, then crews will assess exactly how much Missouri needs, but the initial request was for $14 million.

Illinois counties are getting $64 million for blizzard aid.

Wrap: Governor Jay Nixon's office hasn't heard anything from the White House yet, despite relief coming to 60 neighboring Illinois counties.

Governor's spokesman Scott Holste says all Missouri can do is wait.

Actuality:  HOLSTE2.WAV
Run Time:  00:07
Description: "We are hopeful that we will hear something soon and that there will be a disaster declaration for Missouri."

Holste says he's not sure if the money would go directly to counties or would be distributed through the state Emergency Management Agency.
