Rep. Chris Kelly, D-Columbia, sent a note to Columbia papers titled "Take Missouri Jobs 'Out of the Drawer,'" concerning his resolution.  The resolution send to Missouri voters the option of selling bonds to finance capital improvement projects at universities and colleges.  It has faced opposition from House Minority Leader Paul LeVota, D-Independence, Senate Pro Tem Charlie Shields, R-St. Joseph, and House Speaker Ron Richard, R-Joplin.

He writes: "Given that it is Lent, I am going to resist the temptation to say bad things about these three colleagues, a sacrifice so great that it will certainly result in cutting years off my much deserved time in Purgatory."
