Christine Slusser has more from the state Capitol Governor Jay Nixon will eliminate more than 1300 state jobs by the next fiscal year.
Nixon's Deputy Chief of Staff, Paul Wilson, says it is always a last resort to lay off people, but it is a reality to business.
Because of the cuts, the Governor's budget plan left room for increases in funding for education and expanding access to healthcare. From the state Capitol, I'm Christine Slusser.
