Intro: The Missouri House revived a bill Monday with a budget of over $300 million...with some major chunks going toward St. Louis.

With a vote of 117 yes and 42 no, the Missouri House passed a rather expensive bill on to the Senate.

Democrat Michael Corcoran from St. Louis debated with fellow Representative, Republican Allen Icet about the odds of  increasing the $12 million allotted for the city's metro.

Description: "CORCORAN: Is there any chance for compromise further up?

ICET: Well it would be depending on what the Senate does. Since we're third reading this bill, this is as far as we go.

CORCORAN: So what are our chances in the senate, gentleman, you getting any signals?

ICET: Gentleman, I'm always reluctant to try and figure out what the senate's going to do to be quite honest."

Some Representatives complained Kansas City got the short end of the money stick.

Some complaints on the House floor Monday were that the stimulus bill was nothing more than "pork", or funding based on political reasons rather than for the good of the state.

Chris Kelly from Columbia says calling this bill "pork" like fellow Representative and Democrat J C Kuessner did is absolutely ridiculous.

Actuality:  KELLY9.WAV
Run Time: 00:16
Description: "Didn't you hear Chairman Icet ask Kuessner to name one? Which one did he name? Is it the Veterans hospitals, was it the developmentally disabled mentally retarded children, was it Amtrak, was it Ellis Fischel, was it plant sciences?  You show me the pork."

Kuessner must not have been convinced since he still voted "no" on the stimulus bill.
