A House joint resolution that would amend the Missouri Constitution to require photo ID for voters was passed in the House amid a rain of boos.
Democratic House Floor Leader Paul LeVota says the majority party is determined to make sure some people in Missouri are unable to vote.
LeVota cited the example of 10 nuns who were unable to vote in Indiana's Democratic primary because they lacked photo IDs or had outdated passports. Reporting from Jefferson City, I'm Rebecca Layne. Voters may need a photo ID at the upcoming November election if a House joint resolution that amends the Missouri Constitution is voted through by the Senate.
Republican representatives supported the resolution, saying that it would stop voter fraud.
