Prerecorded phone calls from political candidates could be ending with Missouri's primary.

These "robocalls" could be prohibited from reaching members of the state's No Call List.

Minority Floor Leader Paul LeVota agrees that campaign phone calls should be restricted.

Actuality:  LEVOTA.WAV
Run Time: 00:11
Description: "When they sign up for a No Call List, they think it includes everybody. They are not aware that there is a loop hole for politicians and I think they are very excited about the opportunity that we have to close that loop hole."

Democrat Representative Ed Wildberger is sponsoring the bill.

The measure would continue to allow "live" phone calls from candidates, as well as campaign staff.
