Missouri's unemployment rate has finally decreased to number it has not seen in years.

According to the Department of Economic Development the seasonal adjusted rate for the month of September is 6.4 percent. 

Missouri Democratic spokesperson Zac Wright said he is still unsatisfied.

Description: "I mean, our unemployment rate is at a record high in Missouri. We see staggering numbers we have lost more jobs in the past year than all eight of our border states combined."

Wright said even though it has lowered from .2 percent since August he still wants Missouri residents to look at the bigger picture.

He said the only way to fix Missouri's problem of unemployment is to change the leadership on both the state and national level.
