Intro: Despite an early morning Senate session, a bill regarding illegal immigrants was back on the Senate Floor Wednesday.
Reed Erickson Reports from the State Capitol. Senators in Jefferson City worked into the early morning hours on a comprehensive illegal immigration legislation.
Governor Blunt threatened to call a special session if the Legislature didn't pass comprehensive illegal immigrant reform.
Wednesday the senate worked through a small bill that sponsor Luann Ridgeway called a bullet approach to illegal immigration.
Very narrowly tailored bullet approach to dealing with the growing problem of illegal immigration in the state of Missouri. All this bill does, it is about a one page bill... all it does is deny assistance, state public assistance to illegal immigrants. At the State Capitol, Reed Erickson, KMOX News.
