Intro: Missourians are receiving advertisements for foreign vehicles in their license renewal forms sent by the state's department of revenue.

Micah Wiener (MIKE-ah) (WINE-er) has more from the Capitol.

Democratic House Leader Jeff Harris sent a letter to the Governor today expressing his surprise that the state would advertise the Toyota Tundra, a vehicle that directly competes with Missouri-made trucks from Ford and Dodge.

Actuality:  HARRIS.WAV
Run Time: 00:08
Description: "I don't understand why in the world we are encouraging taxpayers to buy this product that directly competes with Missouri made products."

Harris says he first became aware of the sponsorship when a friend got the license renewal form in the mail.

The Governor's office did not respond to mulitiple calls for comment.

Toyota is a Japanese Company but Tundra Trucks are produced by Americans in San Antonio and Indiana.

From the Capitol City, I'm Micah Wiener
