Reporting from the State Capitol, I'm Brandon Smith. Intro: As the governor continues to pressure illegal immigrants, one state department says he needs to focus on a specific issue. Brandon Smith has more from Jefferson City. The governor's newest effort involves pushing a bill barring illegal immigrants from getting driver's licenses.
Missouri Department of Revenue spokesman David Griffith says the legislation must include measures against those trying to help illegal immigrants.
Griffith said while an illegal immigrant cannot get a driver's license under the current safeguards, there will always be people who try to get around the system. Reporting from the State Capitol, I'm Brandon Smith.
