Blunt pushes for local involvement in illegal immigration

Intro: Following the shooting of three college students by an illegal immigrant in Newark, Governor Blunt called for state law enforcement to toughen their stance on detaining illegal immigrants.

Beth Ford has more from Jefferson City.

OutCue: SOC Missouri will use state law enforcement to check the legal status of every individual presented for incarceration along with anyone that accompanies them. Law enforcement must be trained and certified by the Federal Government in order to enforce Federal immigration law.
