Lawmakers from the Senate Economic Development Committee were expected to vote on the hot-button issue of eminent domain, but the chairman of the committee Republican Senator John Griesheimer announced the vote would be pushed to next week.

He added the term "blighted" has been a sticking point throughout the negotiating process.

Contents: "You hear blight, and all of the sudden the red flags go up and it's oh, so bad. I think what we're going to do is change the name of it. It'll be the same category with the same definition but it won't say blight anymore."

Greisheimer also said he wants eminent domain out of his committee and onto the Senate for a full vote as soon as possible.
