Debate over MOHELA continues

The MOHELA debate continues in the Senate. Josh Kranzberg has more from the state Capitol.

Jackson County Republican Matt Bartle says half of the MOHELA sale - nearly a quarter-billion dollars - should be set aside for future fiscal emergencies. Bartle says this reserve fund is in response to the growing costs of Medicaid.

Several Democrats voiced their concern and argued the money should be used to help reduce tuition. From Jefferson City, I'm Josh Kranzberg.

One Missouri lawmaker wants to save some of the money from the pending MOHELA sale. Josh Kranzberg explains from the state Capitol how much money he wants to save and why.

Jackson County Republican Matt Bartle wants half of the proposed sale - about 230 million dollars - to go into a fund set aside for financial emergencies. He says the reserve fund is important to have because the economy is unpredictable.
