More Missourians might be soon lose their health care coverage.

A Senate committee will hear arguments next week for three bills that could cut health care for even more Missourians.

Tens of thousands of people could have their health care affected.

Republican Senator John Griesheimer of Washington says too many people take advantage of the current system.

He says a total overhaul of the program is necessary to prevent a fiscal crisis.

Contents: Missouri is broke. We have to get a handle on the budget, and the main component that's bringing the state down is Medicaid...and somehow, the general public has to understand that.

Democratic Senator Chuck Graham of Columbia says Governor Blunt is breaking his promise not to cut health care.

He says there could be hundreds of people testifying in opposition of the bill and that the hearing could take hours.
