Police arrested the host of the Jefferson City talk radio show, Party Lines. Jonathan Levin has more from the state Capitol.

In what came as a shock to his co-workers, police arrested James Keown Monday during his show on charges he murdered his wife over a year ago in Massachusetts.

The Middlesex Massachusetts district attorney charged Keown with using anti-freeze to slowly poison his wifes food and drinks for at least a month.

Keown waived his right to an extradition hearing. Police will escort him back to Massachusetts in the next few days.

His mother and sister were at the court house. They were steadfast in their belief of his innocence.

Investigators say his wife's quarter of a million dollar life insurance may be the motive for the murder.
