Members of the NAACP criticized Governor Blunt's healthcare cuts.
Dan Frumson has more from the state Capitol.
Members of the NAACP say there are racial inequalities in the governor's healthcare cuts.
Reverend Booker T. Rice says Blunt's plans create racial gaps in healthcare coverage.
"They impact at a much higher percentage the African American Community than other communities because they're the ones that are in dire needs of health care."
House Minority Leader and NAACP member Jeff Harris says Blunt's plan hurts Missourians.
"He's proposing to cut health care for about half a million Missourians. I think we can do a better job of helping our fellow citizens."
Republican Senator Jon Dolan responded that the medicade cuts in no way target the African American Community, and if given a chance the Governor's policy will reform medicade. From the state capitol, I'm Dan Frumson
