Dolan may become Exec. Director of the Missouri Health Care Association

The head of the Senate Transportation Committee, Jon Dolan is considering leaving his senate seat to take a job with the Missouri Health Care Association. Jonathan Levin has more from the state Capitol.

The Lake St. Louis Senator is currently in talks with the Missouri Health Care Association to become it's new executive director.

During his time in the senate, Dolan's been most influential in tranportation issues.

The Director of MoDOT Pete Rahn praised Dolan for his insight.

Contents: Jon Dolan was a real leader in transportation in Missouri and I was pleased to have the opportunity to work with him in that role. He brought vision and dedication to improving transportation in the state and I think Missouri was fortunate to have him in that role.

According to Dolan's aides, an announcement on the Senator's future will most likely be made Tuesday. From the state capitol, I'm Jonathan Levin.

The Missouri Health Care Association is in talks to make State Senator Jon Dolan it's new Executive Director. Jonathan Levin has more from the stae Capitol.

Senator Dolan confirmed he is in contract negotiations with the Missouri Health Care Association.

Should Dolan take the job, the state will lose the head of the Senate Transportation Committee. MoDOT director Pete Rahn described Dolan as a person full of ideas.

Contents: You talk to Jon about transportation it was like trying to get a drink of water from a fire hose. He had so many ideas and he would fire them at you so quickly that you really had to be on your toes when you were listening to him.

The Missouri Health Care Association is turning to the state Senate to try and fill it's executive director role. Jonathan Levin has more from the state capitol.

The Missouri Health Care Association is currently in contract talks with Lake St. Louis Senator Jon Dolan to make him it's new executive director.

Dolan is head of the State Transportation Committee. Executive Director of Citizens for Modern Transit, Tom Shrout says Dolan was very influential on public transit.

Contents: He recognized the importance of public transit to the future of St. Louis and Kansas City and was an advocate for that. That's not a perspective often shared many times by the role legislatures but one that he's been successful in educating his colleagues about.
