The agricultural policy committee on Tuesday, killed a bill prohibiting the breeding of "large carnivore's." However,Representative Mike Sutherland , a Republican from Warrenton who introduced the bill said he will continue to pursue the issue.He called the decision "unfortunate."

"Well i'm dissapointed they would chose to do that.I think it is something we need to do.From a public safety standpoint it's an issue that needs to be addressed in Missouri."

At an earlier hearing, the opponents of the bill claimed a few isolated incidents could punish the whole breeding industry.
