Ownership of lions, tigers and bears can continue for another year in Missouri. Neha Bhagat has more from Jefferson City.
The agricultural policy committee on Tuesday, killed a bill prohibiting the breeding of "large carnivore's." However,Representative Mike Sutherland , a Republican from Warrenton who introduced the bill said he will continue to pursue the issue.He called the decision "unfortunate."
At an earlier hearing, the opponents of the bill claimed a few isolated incidents could punish the whole breeding industry.
