If you live in St. Louis, you're daily commute could take on a new twist. Bente Birkeland reports from Jefferson City.
Republicans floated their plan to name the Mississippi river bridge after Ronald Reagan at a senate hearing.
For now, the proposal is tabled pending more money needed for the bridge's construction.
State Senator John Dolan from St. Charles is the transportation Chair.
He says at this point, no names are off the table.
Dolan says he's optimistic they'll break ground on the bridge sooner rather than later.

A top Republican leader says it's too early to tell whether the state will name the Mississippi river bridge after Ronald Reagan.

Senate Transportation Chair, John Dolan from St. Charles says deciding on the name is preliminary since they haven't started construction on the bridge yet.
Dolan says he hopes people take the process in stride.
Dolan says he expects the new name would cause some controversy if it passes.
